Apache Conference 2008

We love open source - from hardware to software to design, almost everything we do and use is open source. Whenever possible, we also like to support other open source projects. With that in mind, we want to ensure you know about ApacheCon, coming up from Nov. 3-7. ApacheCon is a week of open source goodness straight from the Apache Software Foundation, featuring intense training classes over two days followed by three days of more than 60 sessions by the creators of open source software such as the Apache httpd webserver, Tomcat, Lucene, Hadoop and more.

While we can't be there to participate, we're there in open source spirit. Here's a little more information about the conference taken from their website, "ApacheCon is the official conference of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), drawing ASF Members, innovators, developers, vendors, and users to experience the future of Open Source development. Drawing internationally-renowned thought-leaders, contributors, influencers, and organizations in the Open Source community, ApacheCon offers insight into the culture and community that develops and shepherds industry-leading Open Source projects, including Apache HTTP Server—the world’s most popular Web server software for ten years running.
