Warning, Java skills required!We want every customer to have a great BUG experience and really enjoy the opportunity to create and invent new gadgets. While it's certainly easy for the BUGbase and BUGmodules to snap together, getting them to do useful things takes a little more heavy lifting. At present, it is our strong recommendation that only Java programmers, or those familiar with developing Linux applications purchase BUG. As our developer community builds useful gadgets with the initial units, we anticipate the entire system getting easier and easier for less technically inclined people to pick up and use BUG. Introducing the BUGbase 'Hiro P' Edition!We've decided to make a limited edition version of the BUGbase available in order to ship as fast as possible. The 'Hiro P' BUGbase has a slightly different front panel interface, with a small controller joystick. Also the 'Hiro P' doesn't have WiFi on board, so we are going to make a limited production run of WiFi modules. We aren't exactly sure on the ship date for these yet, but all 'Hiro P' customers will have access to it at our production cost. As one final little "bonus" here, we'll be giving a free "von Hippel" module away to all 'Hiro P' customers as well. Learn more about our educational discount (BUG+EDU) program.
